Recruitment
Want to join us? Great!
Recruitment Process
Once we receive your application, we will contact you to begin the recruitment process. The first step is an introduction meeting, during which:
- The structure of the group and what you have to expect is explained.
- A Mentor will be assigned to you, usually the person conducting your introduction.
Following this meeting, you will receive a mission file along with a briefing. The briefing will outline all the tasks you need to complete, and the mission file will be pre-configured with your aircraft loadout and navigation details. Once you have completed the mission, you will need to submit both the track file and a Tacview file for review.
After reviewing your files, we will schedule another discussion to go over your performance, address any questions, and determine whether you wish to continue with the recruitment process.

Joining a Squadron
If you choose to proceed, you will receive an invitation to our Discord server and officially join as an APO (Aspiring Pilot Officer) in the squadron that flies your chosen aircraft. At this stage, we will begin working with you to get you combat-ready as soon as possible. This training consists of two phases:
RTC-T (Recruit Training Course - Theory)
This phase introduces you to common procedures used within the group, which are based on real-life RAF/NATO protocols, adjusted for DCS.
You will participate in regular training sessions with your squadron to familiarize yourself with our flying style and team dynamics.
RTC-P (Recruit Training Course - Practical)
Once you have completed the RTC-T, you become a PO (Pilot Officer) and continue training within your squadron with a focus on flight proficiency.
Your goal is to achieve Combat Rating (CR) White, which signifies that you are combat-ready.
Each aircraft in a squadron has a CR document outlining a structured progression system, divided into three tiers: White, Green, and Master Green.
To be considered mission-ready, you must achieve CR White status.
Upon attaining this status, you will be promoted to FO (Flying Officer).
Keep in mind, for the entire duration of your training within 11 TSG, you are encouraged to join as many training sessions as possible, regardless of the completion state of the RTC-T or the RTC-P. By attending as much training sessions, you will gradually improve your flying skills and get closer and closer to the CR White rating. There is no need to wait until the end of RTC-T to start flying with us
Advancing within the Group
To achieve full voting membership, with the rank of FLT LT (Flight Lieutenant) and above, you and your Mentor will discuss potential contributions to the group (non-monetary). The most common contribution is designing a mission for a Friday sortie.
This progression is not mandatory to enjoy being part of the group. As an FO, you are already a recognized member, though without voting rights in group matters. If you choose, you may remain at this rank indefinitely without advancing further.
Our Expectations
What you should bring
Maps and Assets
Most of our missions, campaigns and trainings are conducted on the Syria and Persian Gulf map. Additionaly, we are eager to use the new Afghanistan and Iraq maps.
We also recommend that you own the WW2 Asset Pack.
If you wish to participate in Carrier Ops, the Supercarrier Module is required.
Mods and Addons
We use SRS and Tacview for all our missions. The free version of Tacview is sufficient.
Skill requirements
You should have basic proficiency in the model you wish to fly. That includes
- Starting the Plane from Cold&Dark
- Taxi, Takeoff, Landing
- Basic navigation capability
- Basics of Systems and Weapons
Hardware
While flying with a gamepad is certainly possible, it is impossible to achieve the necessary precision with one. Therefore, using a HOTAS setup is strongly recommended.
Application Form
Once your application is reviewed, you will receive a discord server invite via chosen form of communication.
As a recruit, you will be introduced to a Mentor who will introduce you to the Group, your Squadron, and our procedures. You will have to prove yourself during the trial period – this is usually done by organizing a sortie with a mission of your creation.
