RTC – MOD-05 – Pt.02 – What is the Aerodrome Controller (ADC)

The Aerodrome Controller (ADC) is in control of the Runway(s) and adjacent airspace around an airfield. They control the sequencing of traffic, Takeoffs and landings of aircraft. They will also control any aircraft flying in the airspace of the aerodrome.

They will give you permissions to conduct your approaches, take off and land.

The Aerodrome Controller’s Instructions MUST be followed at all times!

On the radio the Aerodrome Controller is called “Tower”.
