RTC – MOD-05 – Pt.04 – Aerodrome Airspace (MATZ)

The MATZ is not to be penetrated unless permission has been granted by the Aerodrome Controller. The dimensions of the airspace are:

• 10nm Radius from the centerpoint of the longest runway
• To 3000ft QFE

The MATZ is established to protect aircraft in the most critical stages of flight, Landing and Take-Off, from aircraft not under the control of the ADC.
