RTC – MOD-06 – Pt.02 – What is the Visual Circuit (VCCT)

The VCCT was designed as a way of training pilots how to complete the most difficult part of flying an aircraft, the landing.

Based around a fixed set of procedures, the landing routine becomes ingrained into trainee pilots. The procedures here will allow multiple pilots to train landings at the same time, safely.

As the name implies, this is a VISUAL circuit, for good weather flying, there is also a RADAR circuit, known as the Radar Training Circuit (RTC) or use in bad weather conditions.

You should practice the procedures within this brief well, often and properly. They will form the basis of almost every recovery to the airfield you perform in both trainings and missions and you will have little excuse to not know them toughly and completing them with precision.
